Increasing personal insight and awareness is central to maximising work engagement and performance. Registered psychologist Dr Daryl Marchant (pictured below) co-facilitated with me at a Leadership Workshop for MLC in Sydney. Personality assessments were used as a bridge to assist individuals and teams to improve their functionality and ongoing performance. Using personality psychometrics we were able to use best practices to go beyond simply profiling individuals. We humans are so intrigued in understanding ourselves. This testing stimulates our self awareness. which in turn improves functional relationships, develops wellbeing and enhances performance. From workshops like this, the take home message is identifying which intervention the participants could apply in their world to then translate into performance.
